"Grief Is My New Moniker" se devait d'être l'album de la maturité pour REVOK et c'est le cas. Ce second opus, après "Bad books and empty pasts" sorti en 2007 sur Rejuvenation/Denovali, produit par Sylvain Biguet (COMITY, AS WE DRAW) alterne morceaux longs et courts et titres aux ambiances très différentes, du noise rock au post rock.
Brouillant toujours les pistes avec leurs influences variées et les multiples projets parallèles de ses membres (LES FRAGMENT DE LA NUIT, DO YOU COMPUTE, BRUME RETINA, TO THE HAPPY FEW, etc.), REVOK accouche d'une musique non cataloguable et personnifiée par une noirceur intense ainsi qu'une imminence brutale et épurée.
